Staff Accountant – General Ledger & Reporting

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized and detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records. The role involves managing the general ledger, processing transactions, and assisting with month‑end and year‑end close activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record and review daily financial transactions and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
• Perform bank, credit‑card and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice preparation and payment handling.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities and prepare financial schedules.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in accounts and financial records.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis as needed.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Staff Accountant, Accountant or a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, general ledger maintenance and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience using accounting software, ERP systems or other financial management platforms.
• Strong knowledge of account reconciliations and journal entry processing.
