STEM Facilitator – Hands‑on Education Role

About the role

The STEM Facilitator will join GSTEAM’s team in Kumasi to design and deliver engaging STEAM lessons, workshops and project‑based activities for learners of various ages. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on hands‑on experimentation, safety, and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver STEAM lessons, workshops and project‑based activities.
• Guide students through hands‑on experiments and demonstrations, ensuring safety and active participation.
• Set up learning spaces, prepare materials and maintain accurate session records.
• Assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback and adapt instruction to diverse learning styles.
• Collaborate with other facilitators to update curricula and participate in outreach or school events promoting GSTEAM programs.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and/or Mathematics with ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Experience facilitating workshops, teaching, tutoring or mentoring in educational or youth‑focused settings.
• Excellent communication, classroom management and organizational skills.
• Comfort with basic educational technology for demonstrations and presentations.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification in Education, STEM fields or equivalent experience; prior STEM outreach experience is an advantage.
