Technical Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

About the role

Upperlight Group is seeking an entrepreneurial technical co‑founder to lead the engineering vision of its cloud‑based logistics platform for global supply chains and agribusiness. This senior leadership position combines hands‑on technical execution with long‑term strategic responsibility, operating on an equity‑based partnership model.

Key responsibilities

• Assume full governance of the existing codebase, enforce rigorous code‑review processes, and maintain production‑grade repositories.
• Guarantee maximum platform uptime, optimise real‑time data pipelines, and implement enterprise‑grade cloud security protocols.
• Translate commercial scaling objectives into clear technical roadmaps, selecting frameworks and defining product features.
• Establish coding standards, manage developer workflows, and lead recruitment of the engineering team post‑funding.
• Partner with the founding team during investor presentations to articulate software scalability, security posture, and technical advantages.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record in architecting, deploying, and maintaining enterprise B2B SaaS, ERP, or supply‑chain logistics systems.
• Advanced expertise in cloud infrastructure management, database design, technical documentation, and modern backend and frontend frameworks.
• Strong background in cloud security, API development, version‑control management, CI/CD pipelines, and technical documentation.
• Alignment with the strategic vision of an early‑stage agritech enterprise and willingness to commit as an equity co‑founder.
