Technology Counsel

About the role

Zof AI is looking for a senior Technology Counsel to build and maintain the legal and governance foundation for its enterprise AI products. The role combines commercial contract work, IP and data‑rights strategy, and compliance with emerging AI regulations such as the EU AI Act.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and manage commercial contracts with customers, partners and vendors.
• Define and oversee the company’s IP strategy and data‑rights posture across products.
• Ensure compliance with the EU AI Act and other emerging AI regulations.
• Build an AI governance and assurance program aligned with standards like ISO/IEC 42001.
• Support enterprise security and compliance reviews in collaboration with engineering.
• Maintain privacy posture and negotiate data‑processing agreements.
• Provide practical risk advice to product teams and leadership.
• Leverage AI tools to run an efficient, lean legal function.

Required profile

• Qualified attorney with commercial or technology law experience.
• Working knowledge of AI regulation, especially the EU AI Act.
• Experience with IP, data rights and technology contracts.
• Ability to translate legal risk into actionable product guidance.
• Comfort operating independently in an early‑stage environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High judgment, discretion and willingness to use AI tools deeply in legal work.
