VIP Driver – Accra

About the role

The VIP Driver provides safe, reliable, and punctual transportation for senior officials, delegations, and diplomatic representatives in Accra. The role supports official meetings, events, and airport transfers while adhering to security protocols and organizational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate official vehicles to transport VIPs to designated locations, ensuring timeliness and comfort.
• Perform airport pick‑up and drop‑off services, following protocol and security requirements.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, monitor oil, water, battery, and brake conditions, and maintain accurate logbooks.
• Maintain detailed records of mileage, fuel consumption, servicing, and inspections.
• Coordinate logistical arrangements for officials, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Minimum Operating Security Standards (MOSS) and AfCFTA Secretariat policies.
• Assist in continuous improvement of transportation records and processes.

Required profile

• High school certificate or equivalent.
• Clean, valid driver’s license.
• Minimum three years of professional driving experience in an international, national, or public‑service organization.
• Experience supporting official missions or VIP personnel is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• First Aid certification.
• CPR or emergency response certification (desirable).
• Defensive driving training.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle checks.
