Driver & Office Assistant (Volta Region)

About the role

The position combines driving duties with basic office support for IBIS’s Governance Programme in Ghana’s Volta Region. The successful candidate will ensure safe and reliable transport of staff, equipment and documents while helping maintain an organised office environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily transport for programme staff, beneficiaries and supplies across the Volta Region.
• Maintain the vehicle’s roadworthiness, perform routine checks and arrange servicing.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
• Assist with office tasks such as filing, data entry, handling correspondence and welcoming visitors.
• Support logistics planning for field activities, including scheduling trips and preparing travel documents.

Required profile

• Minimum Senior Secondary Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
• Valid Ghanaian driving licence with at least four (4) years of safe‑driving experience.
• Strong knowledge of local traffic regulations and vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to work flexibly in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.
• Familiarity with the Volta Region and its surrounding areas.
• Basic administrative knowledge is an advantage.
