Water Treatment Operator

About the role

The Water Treatment Operator is responsible for running and monitoring water treatment and purification equipment to produce safe, clean, and potable water. The role ensures compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate water treatment and purification machines according to established procedures.
• Monitor treatment processes, pressure levels, flow rates, and water quality parameters.
• Conduct routine quality checks and basic water testing to ensure safety compliance.
• Perform daily cleaning, sanitation, and minor maintenance of machines and equipment.
• Identify and report equipment faults, abnormal readings, or operational issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate production logs, maintenance records, and quality control documentation.
• Handle and store treatment chemicals and materials safely.
• Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and packaging of treated water products as required.
• Support general plant operations and perform additional duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Minimum Senior High School Certificate or equivalent; technical training is an advantage.
• Prior experience in water treatment, production, or machine operation is beneficial.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and equipment operation.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
• Physically fit for routine operational tasks and standing for long periods.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays if required.
