Agricultural Technical Specialist

About the role

The Agricultural Technical Specialist will support the development of frameworks and guidelines that promote long‑term sustainability of agricultural practices under the MAG Program. The role focuses on enhancing support for women‑led agro‑processing groups and new extension initiatives in Ghana.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine sustainability frameworks for agricultural interventions.
• Design and implement programmes that improve farmer productivity and market linkages.
• Provide technical advisory services to women‑led agricultural enterprises, especially in agro‑processing.
• Monitor and evaluate programme implementation, producing recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with international development objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized post‑secondary institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working on agricultural interventions in Ghana.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering agricultural development programmes.
• Experience supporting women‑led agro‑processing enterprises.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor and evaluate agricultural projects.
• Excellent English writing skills.
