Airport Manager – Accra

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking an experienced Airport Manager to lead its operations at Accra. You will be responsible for overseeing passenger and aircraft handling, ensuring safety, security and service standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all passenger and aircraft handling activities, ensuring compliance with checklists, brand standards and regulatory requirements.
• Work on a shift basis, including weekends and public holidays, to maintain continuous airport operations.
• Manage safety and security outcomes through promotion, hazard identification, risk assessment and compliance monitoring.
• Coordinate flight editing and special guest requirements, including VIP/MAAS, PRM and other special categories.
• Maintain and rehearse emergency response, disruption, diversion and business continuity plans.
• Monitor on‑time performance, manage delays and produce accurate reports.
• Drive ancillary sales, promotions and process compliance monitoring.
• Oversee customer service standards, track KPIs and report performance.
• Act as the Local Security Contact Officer.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education or equivalent industry experience.
• 7‑9 years of leadership or senior management experience in airport or airline operations.
• Proven ability to lead multicultural teams in a high‑pressure, shift‑based environment.
• Strong communication skills across internal and external stakeholders.
• Regional or international exposure is advantageous.
