Area Sales Manager & Business Developer – West Africa

About the role

PALFINGER MARINE is seeking an energetic Area Sales Manager & Business Developer to lead growth across West Africa. You will shape the regional sales strategy, expand the dealer network, and build strong partnerships to increase market share for our crane and lifting solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan for PALFINGER products in West Africa.
• Identify, evaluate, and appoint new dealers in collaboration with the Network Development department.
• Maintain and grow relationships with distributors, key customers, and strategic partners.
• Conduct market analysis to uncover new industry segments and business opportunities.
• Provide product expertise, negotiate commercial terms, and support partners throughout the sales cycle.
• Monitor sales performance, prepare forecasts and reports, and coordinate with internal teams for project delivery.

Required profile

• Fluent in French and English.
• Proven experience in sales and business development, preferably in industrial equipment or B2B sectors.
• Strong understanding of distributor management and market development in emerging or international markets; West Africa experience is a plus.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building abilities with multicultural stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, travel frequently across the region, and manage complex sales cycles.
