About the role
Cowater International is looking for an Asset Management and Procurement Expert to support twelve metropolitan and municipal assemblies in Ghana. The role focuses on building capacity in public financial management, particularly in asset management and procurement processes.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to municipal assemblies to improve asset valuation, register creation and overall asset management.
- Design, manage and oversee complex or large‑scale procurement processes in line with best practices.
- Deliver capacity‑building workshops and advisory support using an iterative, knowledge‑transfer approach.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5‑10 years of experience in asset management, including work at the municipal assembly level.
- Proven experience in capacity building and training delivery.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Required skills
- Asset valuation and creation of asset registers.
- Management of large‑scale procurement cycles.
