Associate Lawyer – Intellectual Property & Litigation

About the role

Integrated Legal Consultants is seeking an experienced Associate Lawyer to lead and support intellectual property litigation and advisory work. The role involves direct client interaction, courtroom representation, and comprehensive IP portfolio management.

Key responsibilities

• Handle litigation matters related to intellectual property disputes.
• Manage trademark searches, applications, oppositions, refusals, renewals, assignments and related filings.
• Advise clients on copyright, trademark, patent and brand‑protection issues.
• Draft pleadings, legal opinions, written submissions, letters and other legal documents.
• Represent clients before courts, tribunals and regulatory bodies.
• Respond to queries, objections and refusals from IP authorities.
• Conduct legal research and provide commercially focused advice.
• Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Called to the Bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years post‑call experience.
• Demonstrable experience in litigation and intellectual property practice.
• Practical knowledge of trademark registration, opposition proceedings, refusals, copyrights and patents.
• Strong drafting, research, advocacy and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and client‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
