About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) invites applications for an Associate Professor position within its Faculty of Computing and Information Systems. The role involves contributing to teaching, research, and community service in one of the designated departments, supporting the university’s mission to deliver high‑quality ICT education.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures and tutorials in computing, information systems, or related subjects.
• Supervise student projects, theses, and dissertations.
• Develop and maintain an active research programme leading to publications in recognised journals.
• Participate in departmental and university committees, curriculum development, and accreditation activities.
• Engage in community outreach and professional service aligned with the university’s goals.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Mobile and Pervasive Computing, or a closely related field.
• Current appointment as Associate Professor at a recognised university, or a minimum of four years as Senior Lecturer with a record of at least ten peer‑reviewed journal publications.
• Three professional referees who can attest to academic and research competence.
