Associate Professor – Faculty of Engineering

About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) seeks a qualified academic leader to join its Faculty of Engineering as an Associate Professor. The position is open to candidates wishing to contribute to teaching, research, and community service within one of several engineering departments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the selected engineering discipline.
• Supervise student projects, theses, and research activities.
• Conduct scholarly research and publish in recognized journals.
• Participate in departmental and university committees, contributing to curriculum development and faculty governance.
• Engage in community outreach and professional service aligned with the university’s mission.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant engineering or related field.
• Current appointment as Associate Professor at a recognized university, or at least four (4) years of experience as a Senior Lecturer with a record of ten (10) peer‑reviewed publications.
• Demonstrated ability to secure research funding and lead scholarly projects.
• Three professional referees who can attest to academic and research competence.
