Auto Service Engineer – Auto‑Electrical

About the role

The Auto Service Engineer (auto‑electrical) will join Zerosol Africa’s on‑site team in Accra, delivering technical support for electric and hybrid vehicles. You will work directly with customers and field teams to ensure reliable operation of vehicle electrical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair and overhaul of automotive electrical and electronic components, including high‑voltage battery packs, inverters and DC‑DC converters.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose software and hardware issues using OBD‑II/III scanners, ECU and BCM diagnostic tools.
• Replace parts, program and calibrate EV control systems and power‑train modules.
• Provide on‑site field service and technical assistance to customers, documenting work and ensuring safety compliance.
• Participate in extensive training on hybrid and electric vehicle power‑train systems.

Required profile

• HND or higher in Automobile/Electrical Engineering (auto‑electrical option) or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in vehicle software troubleshooting, OBD‑II/III, ECU and BCM diagnostics.
• Hands‑on experience with high‑voltage systems and EV component programming.
• Previous field service or technical support background with strong customer orientation.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and follow automotive electrical safety standards.
