AutoCAD Technician

About the role

The AutoCAD Technician will join our engineering team to produce accurate technical drawings for manufacturing and construction projects. You will translate sketches and design concepts into detailed AutoCAD models while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, revise, and update technical drawings, plans, and layouts using AutoCAD.
• Convert rough sketches, notes, and design concepts into precise 2D/3D drawings.
• Ensure all drawings meet industry codes, standards, and company specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and designers to interpret project requirements.
• Maintain accurate records, version control, and systematic archiving of drawing files.
• Conduct site visits when needed to verify measurements and specifications.
• Review drawings for errors or inconsistencies before final submission.
• Assist in preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and material lists where required.

Required profile

• Degree in Draughtsmanship, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of proven experience as an AutoCAD Technician or draughtsman.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
