Barista

About the role

The HAPPY Program is looking for an enthusiastic Barista to join its café team in Accra. You will be responsible for preparing a wide range of coffee, tea and specialty drinks while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve hot and cold coffee beverages, teas, smoothies, boba drinks and seasonal specials following Café Chavela recipes.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, coffee grinders, blenders and other beverage equipment.
• Receive, display and serve pastries and other café items, ensuring proper storage, rotation and food‑safety compliance.
• Provide friendly, attentive service, take orders accurately, recommend products and handle customer inquiries.
• Monitor and restock coffee, milk, tea, syrups, boba ingredients, cups and packaging; record wastage and report discrepancies.
• Keep the beverage and pastry stations clean, sanitize equipment and surfaces, and complete opening and closing cleaning duties.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidate able to work full‑time in a fast‑paced café environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and hygiene standards.
