Business Development Executive - Cross Border Payments

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Executive to acquire and grow businesses that have recurring international supplier‑payment needs. This is a hunter‑and‑closer position focused on identifying prospects, onboarding them, and driving their first and subsequent transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect importers, distributors, wholesalers, manufacturers and other firms with regular overseas payment requirements.
• Build a pipeline from scratch using outbound outreach, referrals, industry networks, trade associations and events.
• Understand each prospect’s payment corridors, currencies, volumes, current providers and pain points.
• Qualify prospects for commercial fit and compliance readiness, and guide them through KYB and onboarding.
• Close deals, escalating larger or complex opportunities as needed.
• Drive customers through their first transaction and develop recurring relationships to increase wallet share.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and collaborate with Treasury/OTC on pricing and execution.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of B2B sales or business‑development experience, preferably in payments, FX, fintech, corporate banking, trade finance, remittance or logistics.
• Proven ability to source new business from scratch and convert prospects into paying customers.
• Comfort with cold outreach, persistent follow‑up and commercial negotiation.
• Strong understanding of international payment processes and importer challenges.
