Business Development Manager – Africa (French Speaking)

About the role

This position is a hybrid commercial role focused on expanding a global leader’s footprint across Africa. Reporting as the commercial face of the organisation, you will manage existing customer relationships while prospecting and closing new enterprise deals in the Mining, Oil & Gas, Energy and Utilities sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory growth strategy targeting retention, expansion and new acquisition across Africa.
• Manage and grow an existing portfolio through renewals, adoption, relationship management and expansion opportunities.
• Identify, prospect and close new business opportunities in key industrial sectors.
• Maintain a strong pipeline via outbound activity, industry networks and strategic account development.
• Own the full sales cycle from discovery to solution demonstration, proposal, negotiation and contract closure.
• Build trusted relationships with HSE, operations, procurement and executive stakeholders.
• Conduct consultative sales conversations and deliver tailored presentations that demonstrate ROI.
• Lead structured customer reviews to showcase value, mitigate risks and uncover further growth.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of full‑cycle B2B sales, account management or business development experience.
• Proven track record of meeting revenue targets in software, SaaS or technology‑enabled solutions.
• Experience selling into Mining, Oil & Gas, Energy, Utilities or Manufacturing sectors.
• Strong understanding of African industrial markets and existing networks in relevant sectors.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the region.
• Fluency in both English and French.
