Business Development Manager (Hunter) – Ghana & West Africa

About the role

Deswik is looking for a Business Development Manager (Hunter) to drive new business across Ghana and the wider West African region. This senior sales role focuses on lead generation, pipeline creation and converting opportunities into long‑term customer partnerships in the mining technology market.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and pursue new leads across Ghana and West Africa, building a robust sales pipeline.
• Develop Deswik’s brand presence by attending trade shows and leading regional lead‑generation activities.
• Engage prospective customers to understand operational challenges and propose suitable software and consulting solutions.
• Manage existing client relationships, identify renewal and upsell opportunities, and support customers through the full sales cycle.
• Collaborate with consulting, software and regional sales teams to deliver demos, presentations and training.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of business development or sales experience in mining software or related technical solutions.
• Proven “hunter” mindset with a track record of generating leads and closing deals.
• Strong understanding of mining operations and the value of technology solutions.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus for regional engagement.
• Self‑driven, resilient and able to work independently while staying connected to global teams.
