Business Development Officer

About the role

WeWrite Africa is seeking a motivated Business Development Officer to drive growth and revenue. The role focuses on identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and supporting strategic partnerships across the Accra region.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and research potential clients, partners, sponsors and business opportunities; develop and implement strategies to attract new business.
• Present WeWrite Africa’s services to prospects, prepare proposals, quotations and follow up leads to convert them into clients.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, seeking repeat business and upselling opportunities.
• Research and pursue strategic partnerships, sponsorships and collaborations; attend networking events and monitor market trends.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, meetings and conversions; provide regular performance reports and track progress against targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Sales or a related field.
• Previous experience in business development, sales, marketing or client acquisition is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver’s licence.
