Business Development & Partnerships Lead (Project‑Based, Hybrid)

About the role

Legacy Leadership Africa Institute is launching the Boardroom Women Leadership Programme, Africa’s premier executive board‑readiness programme for women. The Business Development & Partnerships Lead will drive corporate engagement, participant acquisition and strategic partnerships to ensure a successful launch and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the programme’s business development strategy.
• Identify and engage prospective corporate clients, professional bodies, universities, NGOs and government agencies.
• Build relationships with CEOs, HR Directors, L&D managers and senior executives to secure participant nominations.
• Prepare and present sponsorship proposals, negotiate terms and maintain sponsor relationships.
• Manage a lead pipeline, keep accurate CRM records and convert prospects into confirmed participants.
• Represent the programme at meetings, conferences and networking events.
• Monitor industry trends, identify growth opportunities and recommend outreach strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field.
• Entry‑level experience (minimum 1 month) with strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
• Proven ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and corporate decision‑makers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using CRM systems to track leads and contacts.
