Business Manager

About the role

The Business Manager will act as the principal’s main liaison across a portfolio of concurrent projects and business engagements within the IT and telecom sector. Reporting directly to senior leadership, the role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the principal on multiple projects, tracking milestones, deliverables, timelines and dependencies.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date project tracker/dashboard and flag risks, delays or bottlenecks that require senior attention.
• Coordinate action items from meetings, ensuring follow‑through and accountability across teams.
• Develop, review and update project budgets, monitor expenditures, vet payment requests and prepare regular financial summaries.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation of all expenditures and liaise with finance and audit teams.
• Provide hands‑on support during project execution, removing bottlenecks, coordinating resources and monitoring adherence to implementation plans.
• Work with vendors, suppliers and external partners to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Support quality assurance by verifying that deliverables meet agreed specifications and standards.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 10 years of experience managing complex projects.
• Proven ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously and align priorities with senior leadership.
• Strong financial administration skills, including budgeting, expense tracking and invoice validation.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a track record of coordinating cross‑functional teams.
• Experience working in the IT or telecommunications environment is preferred.
