Caretaker – Officers Residence

About the role

The Ghana National Association of Teachers seeks a dedicated caretaker to manage the Officers' Residence. The role ensures the property remains clean, secure, and well‑maintained, providing a comfortable environment for designated officers and official guests.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of the residence and surrounding compound.
• Identify maintenance needs and promptly report faults, damage, or repairs.
• Oversee regular cleaning of rooms, corridors, kitchen, washrooms, and outdoor areas.
• Report electrical, plumbing, and utility system issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate records of furniture, appliances, and other assets.
• Prepare the residence for visiting officers and official guests, ensuring all facilities are functional before occupancy.
• Keep daily activity and maintenance logs up to date.

Required profile

• Minimum Senior High School Certificate (WASSCE/SSCE) or equivalent.
• Certificate or training in facilities management, estate maintenance, or a related field is an advantage.
• 2–3 years experience in caretaking, property maintenance, or facility management.
• Attributes: integrity, honesty, reliability, responsibility, confidentiality.
