Chemistry & Physics Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Chemistry & Physics Teacher to deliver high‑quality instruction to secondary‑school students in an international school setting. The successful candidate will use student‑centred, inquiry‑based methods to build scientific knowledge, practical skills, and critical thinking.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry and Physics lessons aligned with the school’s international curriculum.
• Teach concepts through lectures, demonstrations, experiments and practical activities.
• Prepare students for IGCSE, Cambridge, IB or equivalent international examinations.
• Supervise laboratory work, ensuring safety standards are met.
• Develop lesson plans, resources, assignments, tests and examination materials.
• Assess learning, provide constructive feedback and monitor progress.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Integrate technology and digital resources into teaching.
• Maintain accurate records of performance, attendance and academic progress.
• Collaborate with the Science Department and participate in meetings, parent‑teacher conferences and professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Science Education or a closely related field.
• Recognised professional teaching qualification.
• Minimum three years of secondary‑school teaching experience.
• Experience teaching Chemistry and Physics in an international school environment is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with IGCSE, Cambridge, IB or other recognised international curricula.
