Chief Community Officer (CCO) – Global Health Network

About the role

The Chief Community Officer (CCO) will join the executive team of a respected global health organisation, reporting directly to the CEO. This permanent, full‑time position is remote‑first and focused on strengthening equitable engagement across a diverse international community.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a global community and membership strategy covering engagement, partnerships, learning, events and participation programmes.
• Ensure community voices are central to organisational decision‑making, strategic priorities and long‑term sustainability.
• Create clear pathways for contributors, volunteers and leaders to engage, develop and influence.
• Foster collaboration across a complex international network and strengthen key relationships.
• Measure and evaluate the impact, inclusion and value of community‑focused initiatives.

Required profile

• Senior leader located in the Global South with extensive experience in scientific, research or health environments.
• Proven track record in evidence synthesis, systematic reviews and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Experience leading organisational change, embedding new ways of working and engaging diverse stakeholder groups.
• Commitment to evidence‑informed healthcare and mission‑led organisations.
• Inclusive, authentic leadership style capable of building trust and championing equitable participation.
