About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Class Teacher to join Merton International in Accra. The role involves supporting children’s learning and development across reading, writing and science, while maintaining a safe and tidy classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Write the weekly home‑school diary in a professional manner.
  • Read to children, listen to them read, and tell stories to foster literacy.
  • Provide extra support to children who need help completing tasks.
  • Teach basic science concepts and encourage self‑understanding.
  • Supply tools and resources for learning and play activities.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit diverse interests and learning styles.
  • Maintain classroom cleanliness and order at all times.

Required profile

  • Entry‑level candidates with up to 24 months of relevant experience.
  • Ability to report to work by 7:00 am and demonstrate punctuality.
  • Commitment to supporting children’s basic needs during school hours.
