CMS Developer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CMS Developer to design, build and maintain custom content management systems for our clients. Working remotely, you will translate design mock‑ups into responsive, secure web experiences and ensure the platforms scale efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop and scale custom CMS solutions (WordPress, Drupal, Craft CMS, Magento).
• Create bespoke themes, modules and plugins from scratch.
• Implement responsive designs, cross‑browser compatibility and performance optimisation.
• Configure custom post types, fields and editorial workflows for non‑technical users.
• Maintain site security, backups, updates and user authentication.
• Apply technical SEO best practices and integrate third‑party APIs, CRM systems, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
• Collaborate daily with UI/UX designers, back‑end developers and content stakeholders.
• Document code and technical decisions for future maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development or equivalent experience.
• 3‑5 years of professional software development focused on CMS platforms.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting and attention to design detail.

Required skills

• HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid), JavaScript (ES6+).
• Server‑side programming: PHP, Python or Ruby.
• Extensive experience with WordPress, Drupal, Craft CMS or Magento.
• API integration and database management.
• Responsive design, cross‑browser compatibility and performance tuning.
• Technical SEO, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
• Site security, backups and version control.
