Data Analyst

About the role

This position is dedicated to generating actionable, data‑backed intelligence that fuels the expansion, financial success, and operational excellence of the Telecel Cash division. The analyst will translate intricate datasets into strategic business insights, enabling precise performance tracking, forecasting, and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and disseminate precise, timely, and actionable performance analytics for strategic planning and daily operations.
• Design, automate, and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reporting frameworks covering product metrics, revenue, transaction volumes, customer behavior, merchant activity, and agent performance.
• Conduct deep‑dive analyses across business segments to identify expansion opportunities, improve user engagement, and optimize revenue strategies.
• Apply statistical methods, predictive modeling, and forecasting tools to support business planning and profitability evaluations.
• Collaborate with Product, Commercial, Finance, Risk, Technology, and Operations teams to deliver evidence‑based recommendations and assess outcomes of initiatives.
• Uphold rigorous data integrity standards, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and reliability of all analytical outputs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in data analytics, business intelligence, performance reporting, or commercial analytics.
• Experience in Mobile Money, Financial Services, Fintech, Telecommunications, or Digital Payments is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of Mobile Money products, customer behavior, transactional ecosystems, and commercial performance drivers.

Required skills

• SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Python, R, or similar analytical programming languages.
• Business intelligence and visualization tools such as Tableau and/or Power BI.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with large, complex datasets.
• Statistical analysis, forecasting, data mining, and predictive modeling techniques.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts, data quality management, and analytics best practices.
