Co‑Founder & CEO (Equity + Small Allowance)

About the role

HandyConnect is an early‑stage service‑management marketplace that connects Ghanaian homeowners, property managers and businesses with verified local artisans. We are looking for a Co‑Founder & CEO to lead the go‑to‑market launch in Accra, build the early team and drive daily execution. The role is hands‑on, requiring you to build the playbook, recruit the early team and drive execution until the marketplace engine is running.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the launch plan for Accra, covering positioning, pricing and growth loops.
• Build artisan acquisition and retention strategies, including verification, onboarding and quality control.
• Drive customer acquisition for homeowners, landlords, businesses and property managers through partnerships, community channels and performance‑marketing experiments.
• Set up operational processes for job fulfillment, dispute resolution, quality assurance and customer support.
• Establish key partnerships with payment providers, warranty/insurance partners, real‑estate developers and trade associations.
• Hire and manage early operators (operations, support, growth, community) and foster a high‑accountability culture.
• Own and report on KPIs such as GMV, activation, retention, CAC/LTV, job completion and dispute rates.
• Assist in fundraising readiness by shaping the story, traction plan and investor materials once early traction is proven.
