Commercial Reporting & O2C Manager

About the role

The Commercial Reporting & O2C Manager will oversee the full financial lifecycle for Telecel Ghana’s non‑postpaid and non‑wholesale customers. The role ensures accurate revenue recognition, billing, cash receipt accounting and collections, while aligning financial activities with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and authorize sales orders for airtime and devices across dealers, franchisees, corporate accounts and one‑time clients.
• Maintain bank guarantees for distributors and dealers within approved limits.
• Direct daily billing and invoicing for customers outside the central billing system.
• Manage reconciliations, invoicing and netting with interconnect partners.
• Ensure accurate daily payment posting into Oracle from RMS, Telecel Cash and third‑party channels (Express Pay, E‑tranzact).
• Collaborate with credit and collections to resolve payment disputes and achieve timely settlements.
• Monitor airtime sales reconciliations to confirm complete customer invoicing.
• Track monthly deferred revenue movements between Oracle and subsystems.
• Evaluate bad‑debt provisions based on receivable assessments.
• Review monthly commission accruals for accuracy.
• Lead financial management activities including budgeting, reporting and audit coordination for the Telecel Foundation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related quantitative field.
• Active membership with ACCA, CPA, CIMA or ICAG.
• Minimum five years of progressive experience in accounting or finance functions.
• Strong knowledge of ERP accounting systems, preferably SAP, and extensive experience in reconciliation and reporting.
• Understanding of financial transactions and accounting principles; telecom or financial services experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
