Communications Expert – Public Relations & Corporate Communications

About the role

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture seeks a senior Communications Expert to lead internal and external communications, ensuring a positive public image and effective stakeholder engagement across all corporate channels.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑class internal and external communications services.
• Plan, write and oversee the design and production of the corporate annual report.
• Edit and publish the employee newsletter.
• Create and update business reports, corporate brochures, magazines and feature articles.
• Organise national and international trade fairs, exhibitions and corporate events such as anniversaries and open‑day ceremonies.
• Provide protocol, travel services, photographic and video coverage, documentaries and guided tours for corporate facilities.
• Lead community‑relations initiatives and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Develop and regularly update promotional content for the ministry’s website.
• Advise management on actions to address identified issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Humanities or Social Sciences.
• Master’s degree in Communication Studies, a postgraduate diploma, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ professional public‑relations experience.
• Deep understanding of regulatory, business, political and cultural environments.
• Proven ability to identify issues, assess risks and implement controls.
• Excellent written, verbal and analytical abilities, with strong research and editing skills.
• Capacity to work under pressure and meet statutory deadlines.
