Communications National Service Personnel (NSP) – 1 Year Role

About the role

The African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET) is seeking a Communications National Service Personnel (NSP) to support its Communications, Knowledge Management and Advocacy team for a one‑year period. This role offers hands‑on experience in digital communications, content creation and stakeholder engagement within a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and upload weekly content on ACET’s social media channels using social media scheduling tools.
• Monitor online engagement and identify opportunities to increase reach and visibility.
• Design event flyers, welcome cards and other digital assets in Canva, following ACET’s brand templates.
• Manage technical delivery of Zoom webinars, including speaker links, session setup and live assistance.
• Curate and format the quarterly newsletter in Mailchimp, ensuring timely distribution and brand consistency.
• Prepare procurement requests for communications services such as videography, photography and interpretation.
• Assist with video shooting and editing when required.
• Contribute creative ideas to promote ACET’s work.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career professional with a strong interest in communications and policy research.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

• Mailchimp for newsletter creation.
