Control Room Operator

About the role

Gold Fields Ghana is looking for a skilled Control Room Operator to join its Metallurgy site in Tarkwa. You will be responsible for planning, controlling and executing metallurgical processes while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, control and execute tasks to achieve safe, quality objectives and report any process deviations.
• Maintain qualitative and quantitative output through efficient use of resources.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and drive productivity improvements.
• Organise and coordinate activities in line with established procedures and controls.
• Uphold a safe work environment and ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Take responsibility for personal safety and that of colleagues.

Required profile

• Senior High School Certificate (minimum).
• At least three (3) years of experience in a similar control‑room role.
• Certificate of Competence from the Minerals Commission of Ghana.
• Strong oral and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work long hours, take initiative and see tasks through to completion.
• Valid Ghanaian driver’s licence and ability to drive light vehicles.
