Cook – On-site Kitchen Staff

About the role

The Cook will work full‑time on‑site in Tarkwa, preparing meals for staff and visitors. This role involves planning menus, sourcing ingredients and delivering high‑quality dishes while maintaining strict food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan daily and weekly menus that meet dietary requirements and budget constraints.
• Source fresh ingredients, manage inventory and control portion sizes.
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
• Maintain a clean, safe and sanitary kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Care for kitchen equipment, ensuring proper use and routine maintenance.
• Coordinate meal schedules and minimize food waste.
• Collaborate with management to meet quality and budget expectations.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in professional or semi‑professional cooking.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and kitchen sanitation practices.
• Ability to plan menus, manage ingredients and control portions.
• Strong time‑management and organizational skills.
• Team‑oriented attitude with good communication abilities.
• Physical capability to stand for long periods and perform typical kitchen tasks safely.
