Data Scientist – Group Technology

About the role

The Data Scientist will support core business products and customer transactions by developing machine learning models under guidance. The role involves building, deploying, and maintaining predictive models, working with REST APIs, and creating data pipelines for real‑time analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Apply quantitative analysis and data mining to understand customer interactions and product usage.
• Assist in designing and evaluating data experiments and monitoring key product metrics.
• Build and maintain data sets and pipelines for the data warehouse using ETL tools.
• Collaborate with the analytics team to formulate innovative modelling solutions.
• Provide L1/L2 support and resolve tickets via the SysAid ticket management system.

Required profile

• B.A./B.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics or a related technical field.
• Experience with SQL and at least one scripting language such as Python, PHP or Perl.
• Basic understanding of statistical concepts (hypothesis testing, regression) and exposure to statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS, Minitab).
