About the role

The Faculty of Engineering at Ghana Technology University College is seeking a senior academic leader to serve as Dean. The role involves steering the faculty’s strategic direction, fostering research excellence, and enhancing teaching quality across all engineering disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership for the Faculty of Engineering, aligning academic programs with national and international standards.
• Oversee curriculum development, accreditation processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote high‑impact research, secure funding, and facilitate collaborations with industry and other institutions.
• Mentor and evaluate academic staff, supporting their professional growth and performance.
• Represent the faculty in university governance, external partnerships, and community outreach.

Required profile

• PhD in an engineering discipline or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated academic leadership experience, preferably at the senior lecturer level or higher.
• Strong record of scholarly publications, research supervision, and service to the academic community.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
