Desktop Support Engineer – Part‑time

About the role

We are looking for a reliable, customer‑focused Desktop Support Engineer (Level 1) to provide on‑demand, task‑based onsite technical assistance across Accra and Tema. You will respond to local dispatch requests, troubleshoot hardware, software and basic network issues, and ensure minimal downtime for end‑users.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic hardware diagnostics, component replacements (RAM, storage drives, peripherals) and cable management for workstations, laptops and printers.
• Set up Windows 10/11 operating systems, install software, apply updates, deploy patches and reset passwords.
• Troubleshoot physical network connectivity, test patch cables, run ping tests and verify Wi‑Fi access.
• Accept, attend and complete assigned site visits, documenting steps and resolutions in ticketing tools.
• Assist with workstation setup, unboxing, cabling and basic asset tagging under senior engineer guidance.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in IT helpdesk or field desktop support.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and clear verbal communication.
• Punctual, reliable and able to work independently on dispatched tasks.
• Willingness to follow documented procedures and instructions from senior support leads.
