Director of Research and Consultancy

About the role

The Ghana Technology University College seeks a senior academic leader to head its Research and Consultancy unit. This role will shape the university’s research agenda, foster collaborations, and secure funding for innovative projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the university’s research strategy and consultancy services.
• Identify, pursue, and manage public and private research funding at national and international levels.
• Build and maintain networks with national and international research institutions.
• Oversee grant proposal development, submission, reporting, and budget administration.
• Lead and mentor faculty members in research activities and consultancy engagements.
• Ensure compliance with grant management software and related tools.

Required profile

• PhD with a distinguished record of academic leadership.
• Minimum five years of experience in a tertiary institution, including at least three years in senior leadership roles such as Faculty Dean or Head of Department.
• Proven scholarly credentials in teaching, research, and service at a senior lecturer level or higher.
• Extensive network of academic relations with both national and international research bodies.
• Demonstrated success in obtaining public and private research funding.
