Donor Services Coordinator

About the role

The Donor Services Coordinator provides a donor‑centered experience for supporters of The Salvation Army and supports fundraising strategies by receipting gifts, managing acknowledgements, reconciling finances and administering the national monthly giving program.

Key responsibilities

• Manage donation paperwork, receipts, thank‑you letters and respond to donor inquiries across multiple channels.
• Coordinate In‑Memoriam and tribute gift processes, ensuring proper acknowledgment and tracking.
• Maintain donor records in Raiser’s Edge NXT, including data entry, contact updates and duplicate receipt handling.
• Deposit donations, manage departmental files, organize team activities and support financial reporting and reconciliation.
• Administer the national monthly giving program, handling donor setup, transaction issues and stewardship.
• Ensure compliance with CRA donation guidelines, process gift reversals and manage the annual tax receipt process.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary diploma (2–3 years) in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Three years of experience in donor relations or customer service, using Raiser’s Edge NXT or a similar CRM.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
• High attention to detail and strong focus on accuracy.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑resolution skills with a donor‑service mindset.
