Dyno Operator – Engine Test Cell (Accra)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Dyno Operator to join our Engine Rebuild Center in Accra. You will be responsible for testing rebuilt engines on the Taylor Engine Test Cell, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with OEM requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily test schedules and job cards to prioritize engine testing and maintain production flow.
• Conduct pre‑test inspections and verify calibration of test cell instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
• Perform engine safety checks, confirm PPE requirements, and ensure isolation points are safe before testing.
• Mount, align, and secure engines for testing according to SOPs and manufacturer specifications.
• Operate the Taylor Engine Test Cell to run load, performance, and break‑in tests following approved dyno quality processes.
• Monitor real‑time test data, diagnose abnormalities, and apply mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Document Dyno Test Reports, validate results against acceptance criteria, and escalate non‑conforming units.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, maintain calibration compliance, and keep the test cell audit‑ready.
• Collaborate with quality, maintenance, and production teams to provide feedback and ensure clear shift handovers.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in operating the Taylor Engine Test Cell with a focus on safety and quality.
• Solid manufacturing knowledge and ability to implement process and equipment improvements.
• Focused on controls safety, capable of identifying and managing electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic hazards.
• Advanced electrical troubleshooting and factory automation skills to support control‑system issues.
