Electrical Field Engineer – Renewable Energy

About the role

The Electrical Field Engineer (Renewables) will lead the installation, commissioning, testing and maintenance of solar power and electric‑vehicle charging systems for client sites across Accra and the wider Ghana region. This full‑time, on‑site position involves conducting electrical assessments, preparing technical reports and ensuring compliance with local safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee installation and commissioning of renewable energy and EV charging equipment.
• Perform on‑site electrical assessments and produce detailed technical reports.
• Test and troubleshoot solar power and power‑distribution systems.
• Maintain equipment, schedule preventive maintenance and resolve faults.
• Coordinate with project managers, technicians and external partners to ensure timely project delivery.
• Support client training sessions and contribute to continuous improvement of zero‑emission solutions.

Required profile

• Degree (HND, BTech, BSc) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Experience in field engineering roles, preferably within renewable energy or power distribution projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety standards, regulatory requirements and quality assurance practices.
• Ability to travel to project sites across Ghana and West Africa and work in outdoor environments.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and teamwork abilities.
