Event Planner – Church Programs & Annual Convention

About the role

The Event Planner is responsible for end‑to‑end planning, coordination, execution and successful delivery of the church’s programs, activities and annual convention. The role requires strong organisational, creative and detail‑oriented abilities to manage multiple events simultaneously.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute events from concept through completion.
• Develop event concepts, themes, programs, schedules and operational plans.
• Prepare and manage event budgets, quotations, purchase orders and expenses.
• Identify, evaluate, negotiate with and coordinate vendors and service providers.
• Source and coordinate venues, catering, décor, entertainment, audiovisual services, transportation and accommodation.
• Coordinate internal teams, external suppliers, sponsors, speakers, guests and other stakeholders.
• Manage event logistics including setup, registration, guest management, seating, equipment and breakdown.
• Conduct site visits and venue inspections as required.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, security and organisational requirements.
• Identify risks, develop contingency plans, monitor on‑site activities and resolve issues promptly.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Project Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Communications or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in event planning, project coordination or church programme management.
• Experience working with pastors, ministry leaders, volunteers, vendors and church departments is highly desirable.
