Field Engineering Program – Controls (Entry Level)

About the role

Join GE Vernova’s FieldCore Field Engineering Program (FEP) as an entry‑level Controls Engineer. You will receive a blend of classroom and on‑the‑job training, learn from experienced Technical Field Advisors, and travel to customer sites to support the installation, maintenance and warranty of industrial gas and steam turbine equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate site activities for power generation equipment.
• Perform on‑site installation, preventive maintenance, repair and calibration of rotating equipment.
• Respond to emergency repair requests and provide technical assistance to customers.
• Prepare technical reports, order materials and handle related administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidates, including those from Angola and Ivory Coast.
• Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.
• Commitment to safety and environmental policies.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting electrical, mechanical and instrument diagrams.
• Dial and laser alignment of rotating equipment.
• Use of thermal growth measurement tools.
• Installation, maintenance and calibration of gas/steam turbines.
