Founding Chief Compliance Officer & AML Reporting Officer (Equity‑Only)

About the role

Seynox-Grid Africa is creating an AI‑native Financial Crime Operating System for mobile money and banking across Africa. The founding Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) will also serve as the statutory Anti‑Money Laundering Reporting Officer (AMLRO), leading regulatory engagements and compliance obligations while the company is still pre‑seed funded.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the PFTSP license application and act as primary liaison with the Bank of Ghana’s FinTech and Innovation Department.
• Manage registrations with the Data Protection Commission and the Cyber Security Authority.
• Serve as the compliance counterpart to design‑partner regulatory risk and AML/CFT leads, overseeing the Partner Product Evaluation Approval Confirmation Letter process.
• Design and maintain Seynox‑Grid’s AML/CFT compliance programme and internal policies before and after licensing.
• File Suspicious Transaction Reports and Cash Transaction Reports with the Financial Intelligence Centre and act as the designated liaison with the BoG and FIC.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; a law degree or postgraduate compliance qualification is advantageous.
• ICA Diploma in Anti‑Money Laundering (required) and preferably CAMS certification.
• Senior compliance or regulatory leadership experience within Ghanaian or African financial services, especially banking, mobile money or fintech.
• Hands‑on experience engaging the Bank of Ghana or equivalent regulator on licensing or supervisory matters.
• Ability to operate in a pre‑funding, high‑ambiguity environment and represent the company directly to regulators and enterprise partners.
