Fractional CFO – Manufacturing & Cost Accounting

About the role

Africa Firm is looking for a seasoned Fractional CFO to provide strategic financial leadership for its manufacturing and production businesses in Ghana. The role focuses on cost accounting, cash‑flow management, profitability improvement, ERP optimisation and financial governance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with CEOs and General Managers to drive budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow planning.
• Design and maintain standard costing, production costing and variance analysis frameworks.
• Oversee inventory valuation, stock controls and working‑capital optimisation.
• Develop management dashboards, KPI reporting and financial models for capital‑expenditure decisions.
• Optimise ERP and reporting systems (Odoo, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and strengthen internal controls.
• Support fundraising, banking relationships and investor reporting as needed.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA, ACCA, CPA, ICA or equivalent) with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• 10+ years of senior finance leadership experience, preferably as CFO, Finance Director or Consulting CFO in manufacturing, industrial or agribusiness environments.
• Proven track record in cost accounting, production finance and inventory management.
