Fullstack Engineer – AI‑Enabled Remote Contractor

About the role

Bitovi is looking for an experienced full‑stack engineer to join its fully remote team as a contractor. The role focuses on building AI‑enabled web and mobile applications and requires close collaboration with clients and internal teams across time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy rich web or mobile applications using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Implement microservice‑based or serverless architectures and manage cloud infrastructure.
• Integrate AI development tools such as Claude Code or Copilot to accelerate delivery.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, perform light DevOps tasks, and ensure security best practices.
• Collaborate with product owners and engineers to solve complex problems and explain trade‑offs to non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience building full‑stack applications.
• Strong background in computer science (degree or equivalent).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to work at least 6 overlapping hours with US Central Time.

Required skills

• JavaScript and modern JS frameworks/meta‑frameworks.
• Backend development with JavaScript, Java, C++ or Python.
• State‑management patterns and libraries.
• CI/CD pipelines and basic DevOps.
• AI‑assisted development tools (Claude Code, Copilot).
• Microservice or serverless architecture.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure, Vercel.
• Database schema design and development.
