Hardware Technician – Mining Systems Support

About the role

Hexagon Mining is seeking a Hardware Technician to provide on‑site and remote support for mining systems across the Accra and Tema region. You will deploy new hardware, upgrade existing equipment, and ensure reliable operation of both field devices and server infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and upgrade hardware and operating systems at customer mine sites.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of system software and computer operating systems.
• Develop procedures and system reports in response to customer requests.
• Serve as escalation point for technical issues beyond the Project Engineer’s scope.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Maintain project documentation, service agreements and a database of deployed configurations.

Required profile

• Entry‑level qualification with up to 24 months of relevant experience.
• Strong high‑level knowledge of mining hardware systems.
• Ability to work both independently on site and remotely with customers.
• Good communication skills for interacting with project teams and clients.
