Head of Debt & Working Capital

About the role

The Head of Debt & Working Capital will lead the Debt and Working Capital franchise within Business Banking, driving growth, pricing, and product structuring to become the leading bank in Ghana. The role combines portfolio ownership, strategic planning, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Own Debt and Working Capital balance‑sheet and P&L targets in partnership with relationship managers.
• Develop and execute segment‑wide strategies for products, customer propositions, and lending approaches.
• Assist RMs in originating and executing debt transactions across all teams.
• Coordinate with specialist product areas to deliver comprehensive, competitive solutions.
• Implement pricing policy, lead PRGC processes, and ensure governance compliance.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date pipeline, identify portfolio opportunities, and drive deals to balance‑sheet.
• Promote best practices across coverage segments and enhance credit fulfillment processes.
• Develop team capabilities, build networks with credit leadership, and embed risk‑aware culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior debt or working‑capital management within a banking environment.
• Strong credit risk analysis and business development acumen.
• Excellent relationship‑building, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive performance.
