Hotel Manager (Accra)

About the role

The Hotel Manager will oversee all operational outlets of the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra, ensuring smooth daily business, profitability, and high quality standards. The role includes acting as the General Manager’s substitute when required and leading project development within the team.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize sales and revenue through promotional activities and yield management.
• Substitute the General Manager during absences and represent the hotel in external matters.
• Coordinate, initiate, and control all operational processes, delegating tasks to department heads.
• Serve as the communication bridge between the General Manager and department leaders.
• Implement annual performance reviews, career planning, and disciplinary actions in collaboration with the GM.
• Lead safety and protection initiatives, including fire‑protection and emergency procedures.
• Prepare, monitor and control budgets, cost‑control measures, and financial performance.
• Monitor room‑rate sales, quality of public and back‑of‑house areas, and technical condition of departments.
• Drive cross‑functional projects, ensure personal professional development, and manage Manager‑on‑Duty duties.
• Develop standards for rooms and F&B, and ensure optimal utilization of the lodging portfolio.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Strong background in rooms operations (preferred).
• Proven leadership and staff management experience.
• Experience in budget coordination, cost control and sales optimisation.
• Knowledge of safety, fire‑protection and emergency procedures.
• Ability to manage projects and drive continuous improvement.
